How to install and set up

App vs. web browser: what's the difference?

Our mobile app gives you offline bet slips—you can browse matches and build a wager even if your connection drops, then submit once you're back online. The app also sends push notifications for league updates, match reminders, and withdrawal confirmations, so you don't have to keep the browser open. App users report faster page loads on slower networks because we cache the interface locally; this is especially noticeable in Medan or other regions where 4G can be patchy. Device compatibility

For iOS, we support version 12.0 and higher, which includes iPhone 5s and newer. iPad and tablet installs work the same way—just open Safari and add the shortcut to your home screen. We don't require the latest phone operating system, so you can keep using an older device without forced obsolescence. Some older Android phones may show a warning about certificate trust; this is normal and not a security risk—tap "Install anyway" to proceed.

Troubleshooting common installation issues

If the Android APK won't install, check that Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps has permission enabled for your browser or file manager. If you see a "certificate untrusted" warning, this means your phone doesn't recognize the SSL certificate authority we use—this is rare on modern phones but can happen on older Android versions. Tap through the warning (it's safe; we use the same certificate authority as major banks). If the iOS web app won't add to your home screen, try closing Safari completely, then reopening ezebet and trying again; sometimes the browser needs a refresh. If the app crashes on launch, clear the app cache (Settings → Apps → ezebet → Storage → Clear Cache), then try opening it again. For persistent crashes on Android, you may need to uninstall and re-download the APK. All of these steps are reversible—don't hesitate to try them.

Data, permissions, and account security on the mobile app

Our app requests only the permissions it needs: camera access (for KYC document upload), contact access (for account recovery), and internet access. We don't request location, photo library, or microphone access, so the app can't track your position or collect your call history. We encrypt your login token with your device's secure storage—on Android, this is the Android Keystore; on iOS, it's the Keychain. Your password is never cached; you're always asked to re-enter it on a fresh login. Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds another layer: after you log in, we send a code to your email, and you must enter it within subject to verification. KYC documents (ID photo, proof of address) are uploaded to our servers over HTTPS and stored separately from your betting account. We retain KYC data for the duration of your account and for one year after closure, per our data retention policy. Withdrawal requests are reviewed by our compliance team before processing, so a sudden large payout can't execute instantly—this review usually takes 24–48 hours. You can reset your password anytime via the "Forgot password" link, and you can enable or disable 2FA from the account settings page.
